Generation Future starts at Lobbe

46 young people are now starting their training in seven occupations

Iserlohn. "A sustainable company needs fresh ideas and a young generation," says partner Heike Vangerow. Lobbe is proud to welcome a total of 46 apprentices this year - an honour for the family-owned company, especially in view of the shortage of skilled workers throughout Germany. The attractive industry in the field of environmental services was not the only reason for the trainees to choose Lobbe. The reliability and future viability of the profession itself and of the employer are also the main decision-making criteria for choosing a career. This is where Lobbe scores points, because it basically trains for its own needs. This is why Lobbe has received several awards as a training company and employer from Focus magazine in recent years.

The young people are highly motivated; they received an introduction from various department heads and took part in several workshops. Many had visibly given well-founded thought to the transition from the school desk to working life, what responsible action and teamwork mean. The final, joint lunch with the Edelhoff family of shareholders and the Lobbe executives was a successful highlight for everyone before they went to the individual departments.

This year's apprentices are completing training in seven different professions: Professional driver (14), IT specialist for system integration (3), pipe, sewer and industrial service specialist (14), industrial clerk (8), industrial mechanic (3), motor vehicle mechatronics technician (2), office management assistant (2).
