Circular economy

How waste becomes recyclable

Circular economy

is our daily task

Many of our planet's raw materials are used irresponsibly large quantities of waste, which contain numerous raw materials, are lost to the lost to the circular economy. Yet it is the most important contribution to an ecologically responsible economy - as a supplier of recycled recycled raw materials and energy from waste, we are connected to almost all other industries and play a key role.

Every day

As a waste management and environmental service provider, it is our responsibility to return
recyclable materials to the cycle in a resource-conserving manner.
That is why we regularly set new standards in environmental technology with innovative products and processes.

Our daily contribution

Simply disposed of on the scrap heap or in the dustbin, these cables are no longer readily available for reuse and recycling.

Therefore, professional cable recycling is not only ecologically but also economically significant.

Lobbe has made it its business to recover both copper and the recyclable plastic sheathing for the economic cycle.

The plastic fractions are also recycled and new sustainable end products are created from the plastics.

Where much is recycled, primary raw materials are conserved. This saves resources, energy and, last but not least, curbs the emission of climate-damaging greenhouse gases. Recyclable materials are returned to the economic cycle.

Different processes are used to separate the individual components such as glass, metal, plastic, fluorescent powder and mercury. Incorrectly disposed of old lamps therefore represent a high burden for the environment.

The Paderborn plant uses a complex process to sort mixed construction waste, from which high-quality substitute fuels are produced, especially for the cement industry.

Around 55,000 tonnes end up as high-quality substitute fuel in the cement industry, and around 15,000 tonnes in medium-calorific combined heat and power plants. The Paderborn plant thus makes a significant contribution to reducing the use of fossil fuels in the energy-intensive processes of the cement and power plant industries.

Lobbe produces sustainable, high-quality compost from biowaste that can be used as a soil conditioner in agriculture, forestry and gardens.
