New generation of apprentices starts on 2.8.2021
Iserlohn. Climate neutrality, environmental protection and resource conservation are very important values for young people. That is why an apprenticeship in these areas is also very popular with trainees. As an attractive employer in the circular economy sector, Lobbe therefore welcomes a total of 45 new trainees. "Especially in light of the pandemic, the challenges for the applicants and the trainers in selecting the trainees were particularly high," says partner Heike Edelhoff. Lobbe has a lot to offer in terms of what is decisive for young people when choosing a career. In addition to making an active contribution in the field of environmental services, reliability and the future viability of the profession are high on the list of priorities for school leavers - and Lobbe can score points here.
To mark the start from the classroom into working life, the trainers organized a workshop for the trainees. In addition to the individual specialist areas that were presented, the workshop also dealt with so-called "soft skills" such as teamwork, acting responsibly and changing new communication within the company. These are skills that the current trainees will need to draw on again and again later. This year's trainees are training as professional drivers (16), pipe, sewer and industrial service specialists (8), industrial clerks (8), industrial mechanics (2), automotive mechatronics engineers (4), recycling and waste management specialists (1), office management specialists (2) and IT specialists (1), IT specialists ( 4 )in the application areas of system integration and application development.
Lobbe has received several employer awards from Focus magazine, including a nomination for "Germany's best training company". Since Lobbe always trains for its own needs, trainees who perform well have the chance of being taken on by the company and have a wide range of opportunities to gain further qualifications through continuous training and development.
