Iserlohn, 4.8.20 - The resumption of the waste disposal plant originally planned one and a half years ago on the site of vorn Harmuth at the city harbour in Essen is finally stopped. The 50 percent owner of the planned energy recovery plant, Lobbe Entsorgung West GmbH & Co KG, will not implement the project.
The first vehicles in the Lobbe look are now driving in the western part of the Hochsauerland district. Here, Lobbe is already known to many citizens with its recycling centre. In Siegen-Wittgenstein, the first vehicles for municipal collection will be on the road in Bad Berleburg, where they will replace the previously familiar Stratmann disposal vehicles. All agreed and planned collection dates remain unchanged.
The joint company name under the Lobbe logo creates the third-largest independent medium-sized waste disposal group with around 2,700 employees at more than 50 locations in Germany. Synergies are bundled within the group of companies. Overall, competitiveness increases as existing markets are expanded and new markets are opened up. The individual skills of the employees are a decisive building block for the success of the company and for further growth. With the company's own facilities for the processing of recyclable materials, Stratmann and Lobbe are already making a significant contribution to the sustainable use of raw materials. At the same time, the Lobbe group of companies is responsible for waste disposal security for over a thousand commercial customers. Services such as oil spill prevention, sewer cleaning and rehabilitation, and industrial cleaning round off the range of services for commercial, private and public customers. For many decades, the owner families Stratmann and Edelhoff have been linked across all generations by a personal friendship that goes back to the beginnings of the waste management industry. From this year on, Lobbe and Stratmann will jointly face the growing demands of the waste disposal market.
