Lobbe app also offers smart home functions
Knowing at all times which bin will be collected on which day - this is no longer a vision of the future, but is now easily and clearly visible to every citizen in the new Lobbe app. With the free Lobbe app on their mobile phone, users receive the most important services related to waste disposal from Lobbe in their pocket. The smartphone app not only reminds citizens to put out the right bin for residual waste/bio-waste or waste paper in good time, but also provides information on all aspects of waste disposal.
When is the waste bin emptied? How and where do I dispose of green waste, waste paper, electronic waste or bulky waste? The Lobbe app leaves no questions unanswered for private customers. The central function is the waste calendar. After selecting a city and street, the app displays the emptying days of the municipal residual waste, paper and organic waste bins as well as the collection of the yellow sacks or (recyclable) bins. In the version, users can create up to five calendars and set an individual time for notification. The selected waste dates are displayed in a calendar sheet and on the start screen. In addition, there is an individual reminder function for the collection the day before.
In addition, there are further functions: By selecting a city and street, users can create their own personal waste calendar in PDF format and print or save it. For all Smart Home users, the collection dates can now also be easily used in iCal format for the private Outlook calendar or Smart Home applications such as Alexa or GoogleHome.
In addition, information on the topic of waste disposal and the location of recycling and collection centres, including opening hours, are shown on a map and in a list. A waste ABC lists the correct disposal channels for building rubble, televisions and roofing felt in alphabetical order. It provides detailed information on the disposal routes. Containers for larger quantities of waste can also be requested via the app. Those who are unsure about the container size can also submit a photo request. It also enables fast and seamless communication between Lobbe and citizens and customers.
The app and the reminder service for the collection dates are free of charge and available for Android mobile devices as well as for the iPhone and iPad. The app currently contains information for 54 towns and municipalities in the districts of Waldeck-Frankenberg, Höxter, Paderborn, Soest, Siegen, the Märkischer Kreis, the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis and the Hochsauerlandkreis.
