Groundbreaking developments with added value for customers
The future of automated high-pressure cleaning has begun. With two groundbreaking developments, Lobbe has identified ways that reduce the risk of injury when working manually with high-pressure water tools to a minimum, while at the same time – as an added value for the client – increase the cost-effectiveness. Revision times are shortened, production cycles are lengthened . The skilled worker becomes the operator, physically onerous gun and lance work is replaced by easy remote control of the water tools.
The Remote Lance Worker
The Remote Lance Worker functions as an extended arm of the person, who no longer needs to perform manual HP work, but rather controls the working tool as an operator, without any physical strain. As a machine operator, the person remains outside of hazard zones when working with the Lance Worker. The mobile device is remotely controlled either by radio or wire, and is especially suitable for continuous use. The RLW is equipped with standard HP-nozzles, as well as with customized nozzles and other individual HP tools. The carrier system allows for many different work positions, including unusual ones.
Automated cleaning of heat exchangers
Unthinkable until just a few months ago , the automated cleaning of horizontal and upright heat exchangers is now a reality. The routes of the propulsion unit can be programmed at the beginning of the work, afterwards the operator only issues the command via remote control to retract or extend the lances. Once stored, data such as diameter, length and number of tubes of the heat exchanger are retained. At present, heat exchangers with a maximum of 30,000 pipes can be cleaned. Automated cleaning of belt dryers
A special construction is permanently installed in the belt dryer streets for the duration of the cleaning process. While the conveyor belt of the dryer rotates at low speed, two eight-rayed rotor nozzles permanently move back and forth, removing buildup and caked solid residues with a water pressure of about 800 bar.
