Excursion to the Packaging Day 2016

Iserlohn. In the future, they will develop packaging for consumer goods. Packaging engineering students from Leipzig and Stuttgart were able to experience at first hand how important it is for this packaging to be recyclable on "Packaging Day". At the invitation of Duales System Holding GmbH & Co. KG and the food manufacturer Nestlé, they took part in an excursion along the value chain - from packaging production and sorting to the production of high-quality recyclate from which new products are made. At the various stations of the excursion, they were able to follow live what is important in sustainable packaging development. One stop was the recycling plant at Lobbe's Iserlohn site. The students and their professors report on their impressions and experiences in this video.
