The program impressed with its practical content: Megatrends such as sustainability and artificial intelligence were not discussed in the abstract, but translated into concrete solutions. The speakers and impulse generators in particular provided plenty of food for thought with exciting panels, clear perspectives and inspiring presentations. At the same time, the open and energetic atmosphere made it clear how Lobbe combines tradition and the future - a signal that made a lasting impression on many participants.
Circular Startup Pitch
A highlight of the day was the final of the Circular Startup Pitch (CSP), organized by U! Ventures GmbH, a Lobbe Group company. The finalists Optocycle, ReCircle Impact, carbonauten, Radical Dot and reo presented their business models to a jury and an expert audience.
In the end, Radical Dot came out on top with its disruptive recycling technology, which converts non-recyclable plastic waste into essential chemical building blocks such as acetic acid.

Radical Dot
Radical Dot is a ClimateTech hardware startup scaling a disruptive chemical recycling technology to convert non-recyclable plastic waste into essential chemical building blocks such as acetic acid. The process is compatible with mixed and contaminated plastic streams, energy-efficient and cost-competitive. In contrast to existing processes such as pyrolysis or gasification, our technology is based on a novel chemical mechanism and thus opens up new sources of raw materials for the circular economy.
Reo
Reo puts an end to disposable packaging in the personal care sector - with a circular, resource-saving reusable system. Our software platform enables the seamless, digital tracking and control of packaging - transparent, efficient and as convenient as disposable. We are thus digitizing and transforming the packaging sector sustainably.
Optocycle
Optocycle pursues a clear vision: a world in which all construction waste is new building material. As a leading innovator in the construction and recycling industry, Optocycle combines state-of-the-art optical sensor technology with advanced artificial intelligence to efficiently and transparently transform mineral construction waste into sustainable building materials. Founded in 2022, the award-winning startup actively promotes the circular economy and makes a decisive contribution to a transparent and environmentally friendly construction industry.
carbonauten
carbonauten has developed a solution that binds CO2 in black plastics. For this purpose, woody biomass waste is carbonized in a unique process developed in-house and the resulting technical biocarbons are integrated into ready-to-use plastic granules. This significantly reduces the CO2 footprint of plastic parts.
ReCircle Impact
ReCircle Impact digitally brings unused items back into the cycle. Our app uses a photo to recognize what someone wants to get rid of and shows the best way to reuse it - whether it's selling, donating or repairing it. For companies, we also offer an API solution for the digital collection and return of old appliances and inventory.
